Food theatre offers sensory feast

SBS's cameras were at a special showing of The Serpent's Table development at Carriageworks, Sydney. This project is a collaboration between Performance 4a and Griffin Theatre Co, currently in development for later 2013/2014. Directors Lee Lewis and Darren Yap were interviewed along with performer Adam Liaw for the SBS story .

Asian australians on screen culture
The latest edition of Peril - an online magazine exploring Asian Australian arts and culture - is a collaboration with the Asian Australian Film Forum . The edition features essays from many practioners in the film and television industry and includes a transcript of the keynote address by Performance 4a President, Annette Shun Wah.

Casting diversity
The lack of diversity in casting of Australian television drama was in the news again after comments by actors Firass Dirani and Jay Laga'aia. The notion that television producers subscribe to a "white Australia" policy certainly go the hackles up. Performance 4a's Annette Shun Wah was commissioned to write an opinion piece for The Australian newspaper's Media section: Commercial TV drama blind to casting whiteout reality .
