Big congrats to Sydney actor Tony Chu who has been cast in a semi-regular role in Wild Boys, a new drama series produced by Southern Star for the Seven Network.  It's an Australian western set in the 1850s.  As Chinese miner Li Ping, Tony will enjoy dressing up, wearing a pigtail and nailing a thick Chinese accent.

From the absurd to the deeply serious the exhibition considers points where – despite our best endeavours to set parameters and make sense of our circumstances – the rules inevitably break down and aspirations must adjust as we continue. Includes face-to-face readings with Teik Kim Pok as part of I'm not a psychic, just a performer. Sep 10 - Oct 1 at Tin Sheds Gallery, Sydney.

Written and directed by Erica Enriquez and Rosary Coloma, a series of candid vignettes portray the many layers of being Filipino-Australian, yet anyone of any background will relate to these stories. Battle Hymn of the Swan Luck Club is the brand new show from Jennifer Wong, premiering as part of the Sydney Fringe Festival.  To the disappointment of tiger mothers worldwide, Sydney comedian Jennifer Wong gleefully presents her first solo stand-up show from the bottom of her heart and the middle of her frontal lobes. Expect jokes and disobedience.  Directed by Anna Bateman. Sep 14-17 and Sep 21-24 at Fusebox, at the Factory Theatre.  Tickets $22/$18.
