A Funny Thing...
Rick Lau was Miles Gloriosus in the Chung Ying Theatre Company's production of Stephen Sondheim's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. At the Kwai Tsing Theatre, Hong Kong in March. In the meantime, Rick's hit show My Funny Valentine returned to the HK Fringe Club on 20-21 Feb.

Salon de Dance
After a thrilling season with The Burlesque Hour at The Studio, Sydney Opera House, Paul Cordeiro re-entered the house of Finucane & Smith for Salon de Dance - a wild mix of gothic dance, contemporary turns, sultry chanteusery and extraordinary physical performance. It played in March at the legendary La Mama Theatre in Melbourne. Also on the dance card: Moira Funicane, Yumi Umiumare, Maude Davey, Caroline Lee, Harriet Ritchie & Holly Durant.

Chinese New Year Parade
Director Darren Yap and designer Alice Lau led the team behind the biggest Chinese New Year Parade outside Asia. It took place in Sydney's Haymarket area on Sun 1st Feb from 7.45-9.30pm. 2600 performers, including a contingent of 500 from Henan Province, took to the streets at twilight with beautiful lanterns and atmospheric lighting effects.

Burlesque at The Studio
Part circus and sideshow, The Burlesque Hour had a limited season at The Studio, Sydney Opera House until 31st January. Starring Moira Finucane, Maud Davey and Japanese shock cabaret artiste Yumi Umiumare, with guest artist Paul Cordiero.

Moving to the big smoke
Adelaide-based actor and singer Ezra Juanta featured in Scott Hick's feature film, The Boys are Back in Town, and was back on stage as the Cowardly Lion in Windmill Performing Arts' production of The Wizard of Oz. Ezra decided to try his luck in the big smoke with a move to Sydney. Go for it Ezra!
