Tank Man Tango 2009
On June 4 performers in 20 cities around the world danced the Tank Man Tango to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the crushing of the pro-democracy protest in Tiananmen Square. This memorial of dancing bodies was devised by Sydney artist Deborah Kelly and choreographed by Jane McKernan. Teik Kim Pok - who performs the Tango in the instructional video on www.forget2forget.com - was among the 70 dancers who performed on the steps of the Sydney Opera House for 90 minutes.

Acting Workshops with Anthony Brandon Wong
Anthony, who teaches the Ivana Chubbuck acting approach, ran weekend workshops in Sydney in late June and July. Classes in Ivana Chubbick's Acting Technique in Los Angeles have long waiting lists. Her many students include Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, Jake Gyllenhaal, Catherine Keener, Kate Hudson, Rene Russo, Radha Mitchell and Julian McMahon. The 2 day intensives were held at Urban Theatre Projects in Bankstown, and cost $325.

Darren Yap directs steel magnolias
Darren Yap directed a new production of Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias. This stage adaptation of the smash hit film starred Ana Maria Belo, Marian Frizelle, Jennifer Hagan, Debra Lawrance, Geraldine Turner & Jacki Weaver. It played at the York Theatre, Seymour Centre, Sydney throughout June.
