Rick Lau Rick Lau

After leaving his comfortable career (and very comfortable salary) in IT and graduating from the Music Theatre course at NIDA, Rick was hit by the grim reality of the limiting opportunities for Asian actors in Australia. With the support of 4a (Asian-Australian Artists Association) and a funding grant by the Australia Council for the Arts, Rick co-founded Theatre 4a with fellow artist Paul Cordeiro.

Aubrey Mellor is a leading Australian Theatre Director. He was Director of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) from 2004-2008, and was formerly Artistic Director of Melbourne's Playbox Theatre - his fourth Artistic Directorship of a theatre company. He is well known as an acting teacher to a generation of acclaimed Australian actors and renowned for translations and productions of the classics.

After completing a Bachelor of Architecture at Queensland University he moved to Sydney in 1969 and worked as a freelance photographer documenting Sydney's social life which included the glamorous celebrity set and the hedonistic, sub-cultural, gay community.

Alison Cook

Alison Cook is an IP/IT lawyer currently working for an IT company.  Her previous legal work includes a top-tier firm, a large telecommunications company and volunteer work with the Arts Law Centre. Within the arts, she has been Member Services Executive at Screenrights, the audio-visual copyright society and a committee member of  SAMAG (the Sydney Arts Management Advisory Group).
